Nordic luxury skincare brand Nuori’s first collection of natural, high-performance skincare for face and body was launched in South Africa. We tried the Nuori Vital Foaming Cleanser, a highly concentrated cream that promises to deliver potent doses of lipids and antioxidants for lasting moisture, comfort and barrier protection.

The Nuori Vital Foaming Cleanser has bio-activated lipids, extracted from sustainable shea butter, and looks to offer protection against environmental stress whilst helping prevent visible signs of collagen breakdown and inflammation. Jojoba oil, in combination with botanical squalane, helps restore skin’s natural lipid balance, whilst sweet almond and rosehip oils, rich in essential fatty acids, omega 3, 6 and 9, brings forth a smoother and more youthful-looking skin.
Vitamin B3 helps reduce the appearance of uneven skin tone and strengthen a weakened barrier. The Nuori Vital Foaming Cleanser even has an expiry date on the base of the bottle.

Trialing it in the shower, as the hot water opens up the pores and softens the facial skin, the minimalist designed dispenser opens easily and dispenses just enough foam to apply all-over the face – one or up to three pumps for dry skin. For a more in-depth cleanse, leave the cleanser on the skin as a mini-mask for five minutes, before rinsing off. The foam is light with a pleasant scent and the cleansing results are great, especially when removing mascara or eye-make-up – no smudging or scrubbing needed.
Nuori’s first collection was launched in South Africa on the Asrai Skin online shop in February 2021. The products are cruelty-free with most being Vegan friendly, as they are made using plant-based ingredients – except for those containing beeswax. Nuori Vital Foaming Cleanser (retailing at R640), along with the Nuori range, is currently available in over 25 countries around the world.
