Eskom is moving from Stage 2 to Stage 4 load-shedding this morning as more breakdowns at the power utility throw Sandton and South Africa into darkness…again.
Much like capacity at Eskom, so too, does power in parts of Sandton remain scarce. Whilst load-shedding was suspended this past Friday evening at 8pm, Stage 2 load-shedding returns.
Sandton backup generators will need to work a little harder this week as Eskom announces Stage 4 load-shedding from 12-Noon today until 5am on October 29.
A week ahead of the local government elections residents, businesses and visitors will have to deal with rolling blackouts in Sandton as load-shedding returns until the weekend.
