The e-Lounge is the Gautrain Management Agency’s (GMA) online book club which was launched in March 2021.
- e-Lounge is a fireside chat between the GMA’s Chief Operating Officer, Tshepo Kgobe, and a featured author.
- The online book club was initially created as a platform for the GMA’s staff to engage in a relaxed setting but is now streamed live on Gautrain’s YouTube channel.
- To date, 22 books have been discussed.

Some of the impressive titles discussed to date include THE ECONOMY ON YOUR DOORSTEP by Ayabonga Cawe, LEADING IN THE 21ST CENTURY by Tshilidzi Marwala, 20 HABITS THAT BREAK HABITS by Pepe Marais and LIFT AS YOU RISE by Bonang Mohale.
Tshepo explained that e-Lounge forms part of GMA’s efforts to create knowledge sharing platforms and develop a culture of continuous learning.
The fascinating conversations on e-Lounge reinforce GMA values, this includes valuing learning and growth, striving for excellence and breaking barriers, as well as being inspired by the courageous leadership shown by the authors.
