Recent data released by Discovery Insure sheds light on the evolving landscape of workplace dynamics, revealing that 47% of its drivers enrolled in the Vitality Drive programme have adopted hybrid working arrangements.
The data, gathered from June to November 2023, underscores a significant shift in work patterns. While 53% of individuals still commute to the office five days a week, a substantial portion – 14% – now only make the trip once a week. This trend signifies a departure from the traditional 9-to-5, five-day office routine, with many embracing a more flexible approach to work.
Interestingly, the data reveals distinct traffic patterns corresponding to workdays. Wednesdays emerge as the busiest days for office attendance, while Fridays see a notable decrease in office hours, with individuals opting to leave early. This observation underscores the flexibility inherent in hybrid working models, allowing employees to tailor their schedules to suit their needs.
As the workforce embraces the flexibility afforded by hybrid working arrangements, the traditional office paradigm continues to evolve. With data indicating the enduring appeal of remote and flexible work options, it’s clear that the future of work is indeed hybrid.
Partnership With Minor Hotels To Refresh An Iconic Sandton Hotel With The Cavaleros Group Head Of International Acquisitions Alexi Cavaleros
Effective 1 July 2024, a partnership between The Cavaleros Group and Minor Hotels will see the hotel group assuming management of the landmark property at 138 Rivonia Road located in Sandton, bringing the NH Sandton to life.
A few weeks ago The Sandton Times reported that after 26 years gracing the skyline of Sandton, the Hilton Sandton will bid adieu to the Hilton portfolio from 1 July 2024. Now, The Cavaleros Group and Minor Hotels have joined forces to bring the NH Collection brand to Sandton, aiming to set a new standard of luxury and excellence in the heart of South Africa’s bustling financial district.
