A few weeks ago The Sandton Times reported that after 26 years gracing the skyline of Sandton, the Hilton Sandton will bid adieu to the Hilton portfolio from 1 July 2024. Now, The Cavaleros Group and Minor Hotels have joined forces to bring the NH Collection brand to Sandton, aiming to set a new standard of luxury and excellence in the heart of South Africa’s bustling financial district.

The Cavaleros Group, a stalwart in South Africa’s property landscape since 1926, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the partnership. Led by Penny Cavaleros, CEO, and Alexi Cavaleros, Head of International Acquisitions, The Cavaleros Group has cemented its reputation as a leading investor and developer of premium assets, spanning commercial, industrial, and hospitality sectors.

For Minor Hotels, the venture into South Africa represents a strategic milestone, tapping into one of the continent’s most dynamic economies. The partnership lays the ground work for future expansion plans and collaboration across Africa for both Minor Hotels and The Cavaleros Group.

We are thrilled to sign this strategic partnership with The Cavaleros Group to launch NH and soon NH Collection in South Africa and with it launch our first property in the country.
