Located next to The Marc on Rivonia Road, the former Holiday Inn Sandton will be reopened as the Southern Sun Sandton.
- Rebranded by the group, the original Holiday Inn branded property opened in 2009.
- The announcement comes a few months after the InterContinental Sandton rebranded to Sandton Sun & Towers in the Southern Sun stable.
- The hotel will be home to the Eclipse Restaurant, Eclipse Bar and Skye Bar with memorable views of Sandton.

The Southern Sun Sandton hotel features 301 rooms, a newly refurbished Eclipse Restaurant and Bar, the Skye Bar and rooftop Skye Venue, a fitness centre, a rooftop outdoor swimming pool, and a business centre.
In addition to re-branding the hotel, we have fully refurbished the restaurant and bar, and refreshed the reception area and lobby lounge, adding to the elegance and comfort of this already stylish hotel, and we will be starting our extensive refurbishment of the rooms shortly.

The Southern Sun Sandton hotel comprises two full floors of dedicated event space, offering a selection of venues that can accommodate up to 400 guests and are equipped with suitable technology. The Skye Venue located on the rooftop of the hotel, offers a function space for hosting unique urban events with sweeping views of Sandton.
