Following the successful launch of their Cape Town shop in the trendy Zonnebloem district in 2023, this new addition promises to be a haven for lovers of gently worn fashion. The Johannesburg store will be situated at 102 Corlett Drive in Birnam, just around the corner from Melrose Arch, in the attractive Crete House development.
Curating gently worn fashion is a real art – but one that our team of fashion volunteers have perfected. These ladies spend every Tuesday morning in our offices, sorting and pricing all the clothing donations to be sure we have the very best selection of gently worn fashion online and in-store.

Vintage with Love distinguishes itself from typical second-hand stores by offering a carefully curated collection of high-quality fashion items.
We take great pride in the fact that Vintage with Love is not a jumble sale or thrift store – it is a carefully curated collection of really cool fashion that we know is going to be flying out of the doors the minute we open.

The charity’s mission is twofold: all profits from clothing sales go towards improving literacy in South Africa, and by promoting the purchase of once-loved clothing, Vintage with Love helps to reduce the amount of fashion waste that threatens the environment. This dual impact addresses two critical issues – education and sustainability – making Vintage with Love a truly impactful initiative.
Through pop-up sales, a thriving online store, special events, and the Cape Town shop, the charity has raised over R8-million for literacy organizations across South Africa. Beneficiaries include the Realema Teacher Intern Programme, Community Assisting Schools, Thandulwazi Maths and Science Academy, and the Click Foundation.
While Vintage with Love remains grateful for all donations, they have recently expanded their model to also purchase gently worn fashion, allowing more people to contribute to their cause. This approach ensures a diverse and high-quality selection of items for their customers.
The opening of the Johannesburg shop marks an exciting new chapter for Vintage with Love. The store’s location in the vibrant Crete House development, combined with its secure and accessible parking, ensures that it will attract a wide range of customers. The team’s dedication to curating a stylish and high-quality selection of clothing will undoubtedly make the shop a go-to destination for fashion lovers.
Tracey van Gass and her team of volunteers have worked tirelessly to create a shopping experience that not only offers fantastic fashion but also supports a noble cause. By shopping at Vintage with Love, customers can indulge in their love for fashion while contributing to a larger purpose. Each purchase supports literacy initiatives and promotes environmental sustainability, making every visit to the store a meaningful experience.
