Purposeful Play Takes Centre Stage At Mall Of Africa These School Holidays

Purposeful play takes centre stage at Mall of Africa this mid-year school holiday as Playtime at Le Petit Playhouse welcomes children aged 2 to 7 for a hands-on, imagination-fuelled experience.

  • From 9 July to 21 July 2025, the Nando’s Court will transform into a vibrant role-play village and theatre, brought to life through a partnership with Le Petit Playhouse.
  • This immersive activation is thoughtfully designed to inspire creativity and support cognitive development through purposeful, interactive play.
  • Children are invited to step into a world of make-believe, where learning happens through play.
  • Visit www.sandtontimes.co.za for more stories.

The activation features a variety of themed zones including a Fire Station, Police Station, Vet, Beauty Salon, Medical Centre, Café and Market with a variety of thoughtfully curated props and dress-up attire that support the natural curiosity of young minds. The experience has been created to reflect the simple wonder of childhood imagination in a setting that allows children to express themselves and interact with peers.

• A special Build-a-Bear workshop where children can create their own customised bear
• Guided imaginative play with friendly playmakers
• Interactive fun with Maple and Mosely, the beloved playhouse puppets
• Colouring-in and playdough stations

Puppet shows will take place during each play session and parents can enjoy coffee from Krispy Kreme. While warm and friendly playmakers will be present throughout, all children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
