As the summer months roll in, Cape Town will once again see an influx of sun-seekers and holiday makers visiting the Mother City for all its many attractions including sightseeing, wine-tasting, dining and seeing-in 2023.
Having never been a fan of intimate guest houses or boutique hotels, with a handful of rooms, Villa Lion View, a former private residence in Constantia, changed this significantly.
Discreetly tucked away and overlooking a prime slice of Constantia, Villa Lion View combines a contemporary look with European flair and warm hospitality. It hasn’t had its doors open for all that long, but this beautiful property with an Austrian touch and Out-Of-Africa flair, has all the makings of a stay you’ll regularly return to.
Villa Lion View boasts a large swimming pool, notable honesty bar with a fine selection of local and international spirits, a Swedish sauna, outdoor braai area, a mobile spa, lounge and breakfast room which rolls into an outside terrace, for probably the most spectacular view of Constantia, anywhere in Cape Town.
The hospitality duo looking after the boutique accommodation are professional and courteous, looking after check-in and breakfast, along with a myriad of other duties at Villa Lion View. One of two accommodation options in Cape Town run by the same owner, the space is well looked after, along with its guests, by those entrusted to care for them.
Our room at Villa Lion View is spacious and the beds, unbelievably comfortable. With almost everything one could ask for, the room has a homely feel, ample storage space, a laptop size safe, mini-bar, tea & coffee station and a private balcony. There’s also a large screen television with an extensive satellite television bouquet.
Villa Lion View provides a very homely feel, and makes for a great base to explore Cape Town from, especially when coming home after a full day of exploring, to a serene, uncluttered, crowd-free residence.
With a breakfast equally as delicious as the panoramic view, expect to spend more than your average morning, sipping away at a cup of coffee and a cheese & ham croissant, whilst taking in the majestic surroundings.
For those who enjoy discretion, privacy, minimalist luxury or just something special, Villa Lion View is certainly one to look out for and check into.
