THEY’RE BACK! ‘TRIPPIN’ WITH THE KANDASAMYS’ HITS NETFLIX JUNE 4

Likely one of the most successful and entertaining movie families to come out of South Africa, the Kandasamys will be hitting Netflix worldwide on June 4, 2021 with their latest adventure!

  • There is a new Kandasamy movie and it’s going straight to streaming.
  • Keeping Up with the Kandasamys became the highest grossing South African film worldwide in 2017.
  • The 2019 Kandasamys: The Wedding brought in R18.9-million at the Box Office.

Following the super popular Keeping Up With the Kandasamys and Kandasamys: The Wedding, this installment of the well-loved franchise follows the family on a hilarious bonding trip, planned by Jennifer and Shanti for Shanti’s 50th birthday celebration.

The two besties have their own plans for this trip, specifically focusing on spicing up their marriages, but surprise, surprise, things don’t work out as they would’ve hoped (thanks to Elvis and Preggy) and an unexpected guest brings about turmoil and quick thinking on the women’s part.

As a South African Filmmaker, the feelings are a mixed bag of delight, absolute thrill, happiness and excitement. To have our story on the world’s largest streaming service, and to be able to share a slice of South Africa with over 190 countries is nothing short of awesome. It’s the stuff dreams are made of. Thank you Netflix!

// Director, Jayan Moodley
