Celebrating Vegas Through the Years with ‘Swingin’ Las Vegas’

Following the success of ‘Swingle Bells’, Howard Events & The CoLab Network are thrilled to announce their next big show: ‘Swingin’ Las Vegas’.

This spectacular musical homage to the legendary sounds of Las Vegas will grace the stage at The Teatro, Montecasino.
The show will run from 12 July to July 21 2024, for a limited run of eight performances.
‘Swingin’ Las Vegas’ will transport audiences to the iconic Vegas Strip, celebrating the stars who have made the city famous over the decades.

Conducted by Adam Howard, the 18-piece Johannesburg Big Band will provide the musical backdrop for this unforgettable experience. Formed in 2011 and comprised of South Africa’s finest jazz and session musicians, the band boasts a repertoire of over 3000 celebrated big band songs. Their recent triumph, ‘Swingin’ Christmas’, earned them a Naledi Nomination, setting the stage for another standout performance.

From the timeless classics of Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, and The Rat Pack to the powerful voices of Shirley Bassey and Tom Jones, and the contemporary hits of Michael Bublé, Robbie Williams, Adele, and Amy Winehouse, this show promises a nostalgic journey through Vegas’s musical history.

The show will feature local stars Craig Urbani, Corlea, Timothy Moloi, and Harry Sideropoulos, performing beloved hits such as Fly Me to the Moon, Mack the Knife, Rolling in the Deep, Valerie, Quando, Quando, Quando, and Big Spender. Their performances will undoubtedly have audiences tapping their toes and swaying to the rhythm of these instantly recognizable tunes.

We’re thrilled to be back on stage at Montecasino, which feels like home after the success of ‘Swingle Bells.’ We’re in the final production stages to ensure ‘Swingin’ Las Vegas’ will be a night to remember, taking audiences on a swingin’ musical journey through the life and times of Las Vegas!
