Selected to be part of a bespoke group of media and content creators, The Sandton Times, was invited to learn more about the latest partnership between FlySafair and Suzuki, which will see traverlers stand a chance to win one of two Suzuki Grand Vitara Hybrid AllGrips, each valued at R530’000 in an exciting new campaign.

To have a chance at winning, travelers will need to book a flight with FlySafair to any of their 9 destinations between 1 June – 31 July 2023. By doing so, they automatically enter the draw for a chance to win a brand new Suzuki Vitara Hybrid AllGrip. FlySafair and Suzuki’s collaboration stems from a shared spirit of adventure and pushing boundaries. With a joint objective of taking South African’s from ‘Skyways to Highways’, the partnership aims to make life one big adventure.

The competition launch was a great opportunity for key content creators and media to experience the adventure first-hand! The first day kicked off with participants being picked up for an early morning visit to the FlySafair offices. A tour of the airline facilities, including a visit to the hangars, made the visit to Safair House especially exciting. Some of the group explored a FlySafair aircraft and took the opportunity to get in the cockpit for selfie or three.

Once luggage was loaded onto a bus it was time to head to the airport for a flight to George. Upon arrival at George Airport, the Suzuki Crew was ready to transport everyone to Elvis Brew for a further briefing and route information. After that, the adventure officially kicked-off! The itinerary included a visit to the Montagu Pass Toll House, where the owner shared fascinating stories and served up some world-class pancakes.

The journey then continued to Louvain Guest Farm, where the crew dropped off their bags, received another briefing, and embarked on a mountain expedition with spectacular views and coffee. After returning to the farm, participants had some time to relax before heading to dinner, where a quiz would determine the ultimate winner of the day – awarded to someone who paid detailed attention to information and clues along the way. The evening culminated with the announcement of the overall winner, with points awarded not only for the quiz but also for punctuality, driving skills, and adherence to the route.

The FlySafair and Suzuki partnership promises more exciting adventures over the coming months. Throughout the current campaign, mini-competitions will offer travelers the chance to win all-expenses-paid trips to some of South Africa’s best destinations! To be eligible for the ‘Win A Car’ competition to win one of two Suzuki Grand Vitara Hybrid AllGrips, winners must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid South African passport or permanent residency.
