‘Feeding Unicorns’ With Founder of JAW Advertising and Author Jeni-Anne Campbell

Sandton Times Hour
Jeni-Anne’s guiding philosophy – “Good is not just enough. It’s everything.” – anchors her message that good business is inseparable from good leadership. Image: Feeding Unicorns

Feeding Unicorns, the debut book by Jeni-Anne Campbell, founder of JAW Advertising and creator of The Good Businesswoman, redefines what it means to lead with empathy, courage, and authenticity. Written between motherhood, meetings, and midnight brainstorms, it’s both a manual and manifesto for building businesses people genuinely want to be part of.

Jeni-Anne challenges traditional leadership ideals by asking: what if leadership isn’t about being the loudest in the room, but the most human? Through honest stories, practical tools, and lived experience, she explores how leaders can nurture their teams emotionally, financially, and professionally, feeding their “unicorns” rather than draining them.

Each chapter tackles the realities of modern work, from fair pay and burnout to flexibility and feedback, with humour, vulnerability, and wisdom. In sections like “The Payoff of Paying Well” and “A Cookie-Cutter Doesn’t Cut It,” Jeni-Anne advocates for leadership rooted in empathy, clarity, and care. She reflects on her own journey of learning the hard way, growing her business, and creating systems that value people as much as performance.

At its heart, Feeding Unicorns celebrates a more human, emotionally intelligent model of leadership, one where kindness is not weakness and company culture is built through everyday actions, not empty mission statements. It’s written for women in the arena – those rewriting presentations at midnight, paying salaries before themselves, and showing up with heart.

Whether you’re a startup founder, executive, or creative professional, Feeding Unicorns is both an inspiration and a practical roadmap to leading with heart, humanity, and impact in a world that needs more of all three.

Feeding Unicorns is available online and at all good book stores.

‘Odd Man Out’ With Comedian Stuart Taylor

Sandton Times Hour
Cue magazine hailed Odd Man Out as “a delightfully uncomfortable mirror held up to the suburban middle-aged experience… comedy gold,” praising Stuart’s ability to turn personal awkwardness into universal laughter. Image: Stuart Taylor

Award-winning comedian Stuart Taylor returns to the stage this November with his latest stand-up show, Odd Man Out, following the success of his hit Learner Husband Podcast. The show runs in Johannesburg from 17 – 23 November 2025 at Theatre on the Square, Sandton, with tickets priced between R180 and R220.

Known for his sharp wit and storytelling charm, Stuart explores what it means to feel out of place – whether as a suburban dad, husband, or middle-aged comedian. The show mines comedy gold from awkward teenage years as a magic-obsessed kid, the chaos of parenting teenage boys, navigating gym culture, and managing the quirks of married life.

Fresh from his Ovation Award win at the 2024 National Arts Festival in Makhanda, Taylor continues to earn rave reviews. Complementing his live performances, Stuart’s Learner Husband Podcast dives deeper into life’s comedic contradictions – marriage, family, and everything between “I do” and “What did I do?”. Featuring conversations with fellow comedians and creators, the podcast delivers the same mix of humour, honesty, and relatability that defines his stage work.

With Odd Man Out, Taylor proves that life’s most awkward moments are its funniest – a celebration of shared weirdness and genuine connection, told through the eyes of one of South Africa’s most beloved comedians. Tickets available on Webtickets.

“30 For 30” Playing For The Mob

Sandton Times Hour

Playing for the Mob blends the world of college basketball with the dark underbelly of organized crime, telling the true story of mobster Henry Hill’s role in fixing Boston College games during 1978–1979. Featuring interviews with players, investigators, and Henry Hill himself before his death, the documentary exposes how greed and betrayal corrupted the sport.

Much like Goodfellas – where Ray Liotta famously portrayed Henry Hill – the film reveals how money, temptation, and deception can destroy lives and loyalty. Ultimately, Playing for the Mob delivers a stark message: when fortunes are on the line, trust is the first casualty.
