From the return of the award-winning Momo’s Magical Adventure, to exquisite festive lights, extended trading hours, gift wrapping for a cause, and an array of exciting festive experiences, Sandton City is set to make this holiday season truly unforgettable.

The enchanting Momo’s Magical Adventure is back with a bold new storyline, running from 5 December 2024 to 5 January 2025, in collaboration with Standard Bank Private. In this year’s production, Momo and her trusty sidekick, Mack the Meerkat, embark on a cosmic journey filled with starlit skies, deep-sea magic, and celestial friends like Bertie-Stargazer the Unicorn and Polly the Northern Star. With performances in a uniquely designed theatrical tent in the centre court outside Checkers, this immersive children’s theatre show is a visual and emotional feast for the whole family.

There will be four shows per day from Tuesday to Sunday, at 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm. There will be no performances on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Tickets cost R60 each, and while tickets will be available at the centre, audiences are strongly encouraged to pre-book online because shows tend to sell out quickly. Sandton City has unveiled its most dazzling festive décor yet, featuring a stunning lit-up balloon in the Protea Court, a glass façade adorned with over 20 3D elements, and a captivating animated cone tree on Rivonia Road. View the lighting installations here.

Finding the perfect gift has never been easier with Sandton City’s curated digital gift guide, available on the Sandton City website. Adding to the festive cheer, Sandton City invites shoppers to partake in the 12 Days of Christmas social media competition. From 1 to 12 December 2024, participants can win a variety of some of the season’s best surprises by engaging on Sandton City’s social platforms.

And for those who want to give the ultimate choice, the Sandton City Gift Card remains a timeless favourite. Available for purchase at kiosks on Levels 4, 5, and 6 or online, this gift card is redeemable at any of the over 300 stores within the centre, offering unmatched flexibility and luxury.

Santa Claus himself will be at Sandton City from 2 to 24 December 2024, taking last minute requests and posing for photos in the centre court. Families can capture memories and cherish this holiday tradition in a festive setting, with Santa’s magical presence adding to the warmth of the season and a variety of keepsake items available.

In the spirit of giving back, Sandton City will once again host gift-wrapping stations in front of Jet and Naartjie from 2 to 24 December 2024. For a small donation to the Sandton SPCA, shoppers can have their gifts wrapped to perfection, knowing their contributions support a worthwhile cause. Last year, this initiative raised an incredible R476’000, which the SPCA used to upgrade its Inspectorate department, purchase a new vehicle and take vital work in animal welfare further. This year, the goal is to surpass that achievement, ensuring the spirit of generosity thrives alongside the holiday magic.
