The Sandton Times joined an intimate group of leading food media to sample some of the dishes. Needless to say the tasting portions were significantly smaller in order to be able to taste the full range of dishes available, without having to roll home, but they were certainly delicious enough that a full plate could have easily been savoured a few times over.

Sasha Basson, Head Chef of Tashas Group in South Africa, has designed the Plats du Jour menu to highlight freshness, flavour, comfort, and satisfaction, making it perfect for any-time dining. The concept of ‘Plat du Jour’ is deeply rooted in Parisian culinary culture, allowing chefs to showcase their creativity and the best of seasonal ingredients.
At tashas, we’ve always focused on using the freshest ingredients and making each dish to order. Working closely with our suppliers to select the best produce, meats, and seafood for the day’s special dish has further strengthened our commitment to freshness and seasonality.

The special menu runs alongside the existing offerings, providing something new and exciting for Le Parc visitors every day.
From roast chicken and beef bourguignon to quiche, hot-smoked salmon, and seabass, the team and I at Le Parc have really enjoyed experimenting with recipes and ideas. Our portions are hearty, and everything is prepared fresh for each customer. This initiative makes meal choices less of a challenge—everything is delicious, and we can’t wait for our guests to try the dishes.
