Virgin Voyages raised a glass and celebrated the launch of its newest ship, Resilient Lady, in Greece ahead of the European summer.

As the third ship in the Lady Ship fleet, Resilient Lady embarked on its inaugural summer season from its new homeport in Athens, offering travelers a range of exciting new destinations, delectable culinary experiences, and captivating entertainment.

Resilient Lady set sail on 14 May 2023, unveiling its ‘Greek Island Glow’ itinerary. This seven-night MerMaiden voyage departed from Athens, visiting enchanting destinations such as Santorini, Rhodes, Bodrum, and Mykonos, where an overnight stay allowed for ample time to explore the island’s wonders.

Additionally, the ship introduces the ‘Adriatic Sea & Greek Gems’ itinerary, offering a captivating journey along Croatia’s coastline, Greece’s glamorous islands, and the stunning Balkan bay. The inclusion of a late-night stay in Dubrovnik allowed guests to experience the city’s vibrant nightlife and scenic beauty.

Sir Richard Branson, the founder of Virgin Voyages, expressed his excitement about showcasing the Resilient Lady in these magical destinations, while CEO Tom McAlpin eagerly anticipates sharing this five-star experience with even more sailors during the summer season.

Entertainment onboard Resilient Lady reaches new heights with the debut of five captivating shows and two exclusive soirées in The Manor, a venue renowned for its immersive experiences. Virgin Voyages’ partnership with renowned producers like Randy Weiner, House of Yes, and MISCHIEF ensures an incredible lineup of entertainment, live music acts, and rotating performances on the festival stage.

Food and beverage offerings receive a delightful upgrade with the introduction of Razzle Dazzle by Night, a menu curated in collaboration with Chef Eric Haugen. To celebrate Resilient Lady’s launch, Virgin Voyages introduces ‘Opa Hour’, an ode to Greek culinary traditions. Sailors can enjoy a Greek-inspired food and beverage menu during Opa Hour, held in the Dock and Dock House on all three ships, enhancing the onboard dining experience.

Following its inaugural season in Greece, Resilient Lady embarks on a trans-continental voyage, exploring Australia and New Zealand from 11 December 2023, to 27 March 2024, after arriving at Station Pier in Port Melbourne, Victoria.
