Members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) in Sandton arrested 52 suspects this past week, half of which were in contravention of the Disaster Management Act of 2002 under level three lockdown restrictions.
- Police arrested 8 people for shoplifting and 2 for driving while under the influence of alcohol.

With lockdown easing to alert level 3, the SAPS remains vigilant, warning businesses and the public to remain within the law and adhere to lockdown regulations.
This past week saw 3 arrests for attempted murder and robbery with a firearm, 2 arrests for common assault under the Domestic Violence Act, 2 arrests for intimidation, 2 arrests for common robbery, 1 arrest for rape, 1 arrest for malicious damage to property, 1 arrest for theft, 1 arrest for using a motor vehicle without owner’s consent, 2 arrests for reckless and negligent driving and 1 arrest for theft and fraud.
