Following a remarkable refurbishment in 2018, the Silver Spirit underwent a transformative dry dock renovation at the Fincantieri Shipyard in Palermo, Italy, between 5 March and 1 May. This rejuvenation involved cutting the ship in half and inserting a pre-built 49-foot midsection, resulting in increased space and enhanced amenities for Silversea’s esteemed guests.

One of the most noticeable changes is the expansion of the pool space on deck nine, creating a sprawling beach area and additional room for guests to bask in the sun.

Guest accommodations received a makeover, ensuring the exceptional standard of Silversea comfort is maintained. The experience is enriched with all-inclusive amenities, from premium wines and spirits to in-suite 24-hour dining service and unlimited complimentary Wi-Fi.

New amenities like the Zagara Spa, Tor’s Observation Library, and the Dolce Vita Lounge enhance the onboard experience. The Arts Café, a stylish space for art exhibitions and reading, provides a comfortable retreat with both indoor and outdoor seating.

Silversea Cruises is renowned for innovating the ultra-luxury cruise line industry. The fleet, consisting of intimate, all-suite vessels like Silver Wind, Silver Shadow, Silver Whisper, Silver Spirit, and Silver Muse, offers large-ship amenities in an atmosphere of conviviality and casual elegance.

During Silver Spirit’s short season in Southern African waters, guests can partake in a myriad of experiences and excursions. From exploring the ghost town of Kolmanskop to catamaran trips to Halifax Island, mountain hikes, and bird-watching, the itineraries are designed to showcase the richness of the region. Wine and cheese tastings, private reserve safaris, lagoon cruises, Durban Indian curry experiences, high teas, and interactions with Zulu culture provide a diverse range of activities.
