MISS SOUTH AFRICA Top 10 Finalists Luvé Meyer and Pearl Ntshehi

This year’s Top 10 Miss South Africa 2022 finalists have been announced. They are Anarzade Omar, Ayanda Thabethe, Itumeleng Parage, Keaoleboga Nkashe, Lebogang Mahlangu, Luvé Meyer, Luyanda Zuma, Ndavi Nokeri, Pearl Ntshehi and Tamsyn Jack.

 

Luvé Meyer (25) comes from Brackenfell in Cape Town in the Western Cape. She has a Bachelor of Health Science and Social Services degree and an honours degree in psychology from the University of South Africa and is a full-time model and small business co-owner. Meyer made it to the Top 35 in 2020.

 

Pearl Ntshehi (25) was born and raised in Mamelodi but currently lives in Centurion in Tshwane, Gauteng. She is a candidate attorney and has BCom Law, BCom Honours and LLB degrees. Ntshehi explains that she made Top 30 last year and is ecstatic to make Top 10 this time around.

 

The Miss South Africa pageant promises to be a spectacular and entertainment-packed show and will fittingly take place during Women’s Month, on Saturday, August 13. As in previous years, it will also be broadcast live on DStv’s M-Net and Mzansi Magic and streamed for an international audience on the Miss South Africa app.

Dr Ferini Dayal, a medical doctor, and philanthropist, currently working as a surgeon or the cluster of Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital (she is currently stationed at Bertha Gxowa hospital) with the intent to pursue plastic and reconstructive surgery, will be representing South Africa in Japan as Miss International South Africa – one of the top three pageants of the world – taking place on December 13. South Africa has yet to bring home a crown and she is excited to be the candidate to do so.

Aspiring Singer Kutlwano Yika
He’s been performing at traffic lights in parts of greater Sandton, and has become somewhat of a social media phenomenon, with renditions of his covers showcasing his talent, but Kutlwano Yika shows no signs of slowing down. With a talent for singing and self-promotion, this young South African hopes to build up enough of a following to be able to fund his own productions and recordings.

Hostex 2022 with Gary Corin, Managing Director of Specialised Exhibitions

Hostex 2022 is refreshed and it’s happening at Sandton Convention Centre from June 26 to June 28, from 9:30am to 4:30pm on each day, providing opportunity for everyone who’s anyone in the hospitality, food and drink sectors to visit the show.

 

Gary Corin, MD at Specialised Exhibitions, a division of the Montgomery Group and long-standing organisers of Hostex, says since 1984 the show has faithfully provided an excellent platform for exhibitors to engage face-to-face with their clients, launch new products, and stay up to date with industry trends.

 

Show attractions include SA Chefs Association’s The Skillery; a Coffee Market hosted by the Speciality Coffee Association (SCASA) which will again feature a barista competition; and a wide-ranging array of exhibitors all eager to showcase their products and services.

Nina Hastie is a seasoned South African stand up comedian who has performed at every major (and minor) venue in the country as well as at all major comedy festivals in South Africa over the past 15 years.
