A-listers, influencers, athletes, and general fashion aficionados from South Africa are likely to attend this glitzy gathering. Having always been hosted at The Inanda Club in Sandton, this year the Playing for Pink Ladies Invitational Polo have moved this to the beautiful Steyn City grounds.
During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the 2022 Playing for Pink Ladies Invitational Polo aims to generate awareness and money for Reach for Recovery, a non-profit organization that supports and cares for breast cancer patients who have just received a diagnosis, are presently receiving treatment, as well as those who are in remission. The activities of the day will support the initiative’s Ditto Project, aimed at helping women from lower income groups, who cannot afford to undergo reconstructive surgery, to be fitted with an external breast prosthesis to regain their confidence and dignity after diagnosis and surgery.
Now more than ever in the current economic climate, we would like to support Reach for Recovery and their Ditto Project. Reach for Recovery is a comprehensive non-medical programme created to help women with Breast Cancer. It is based on the premise that former breast cancer patients, now physically and emotionally healthy, can relate in a unique and positive way to newly diagnosed patients.

So what’s in store? The event is set against the exciting background of a polo match and aims to amaze and excite guests with spectacular South African entertainment, exquisite food, stunning fashion, pampering, luxury shopping, and sportsmanship. Guests will be greeted with a cool beverage and bubbles upon arrival. A lavish light lunch or high tea will be served with all the fixtures, featuring flavors to suit every palate and paired with the best beverages and wines. Also on the day, indulge in some upmarket pop-up shops which are all the rage for retail therapy and luxury shopping.
Additionally, guests can unwind and indulge themselves in the salon, which is sponsored by international companies Clarins and SOHO for hair, makeup, and nails. Pernod Ricard has created a glitzy Inverroche gin bar and a Jameson whiskey lounge for you to indulge your senses. A fashion show and special performances by gifted South African artists will follow the start of the polo. After the game, there will be an award presentation on the Polo Fields.
