In the ever-evolving world of cruise travel, Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) continues to be at the forefront, pushing boundaries and redefining the passenger experience.

Embarking on seven-day Caribbean voyages from the picturesque Port Canaveral, Florida, the ship promises to take passengers on a journey like never before. The itineraries include calls to dreamy destinations such as Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; Tortola, British Virgin Islands; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; and the exclusive Great Stirrup Cay, NCL’s private island in the Bahamas.

Crafted by the renowned Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri, Norwegian Aqua is the evolution of the Prima Class, building upon the success of its predecessors, Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva. With a 10% increase in size and capacity, Norwegian Aqua spans an impressive 1’056 feet (321 meters) in length, boasting 156’300 gross tons and accommodating 3’571 guests at double occupancy. This expansion ensures more outdoor space and the highest staffing levels among contemporary cruise ships, promising a spacious and luxurious experience.

One of the most captivating features of Norwegian Aqua is its hull art, a vibrant creation by Allison Hueman, NCL’s first major female hull artist. Known for her street art and collaborations with global brands like Nike, L’Oreal, and Google, Allison’s distinctive style, which she calls ‘etherealism’, brings life to Norwegian Aqua. Titled ‘Where the Sky Meets the Sea’, the art on the hull evokes modern mythology, blending abstract and figurative representations of sea and sky ruled by ancient goddesses.

I’m honoured, not only to be the first major female hull artist for Norwegian Cruise Line, but to also know that my artwork will be roaming the seas touching different parts of the world.

Prepare for a rush of adrenaline as Norwegian Aqua introduces the world’s first hybrid rollercoaster and waterslide, the Aqua Slidecoaster. This exclusive NCL experience features dual slides and a magnetic lift, propelling adventurous guests through two different courses around the ship’s funnel. The excitement doesn’t end there; Norwegian Aqua also introduces the Glow Court, a digital sports complex with an interactive LED floor that transforms into a nightclub in the evening.

Norwegian Aqua sets a new standard for luxury with NCL’s first-ever Three-Bedroom Duplex Haven Suites. These spacious suites, situated in The Haven by Norwegian, offer a two-story layout with separate living and dining areas, three bathrooms, a sprawling balcony, and three bedrooms, two of which feature king-size beds. The Haven complex on Norwegian Aqua boasts 123 well-appointed suites, the largest in the fleet, featuring an expansive sundeck, an infinity pool, an outdoor spa with a glass-walled sauna and cold room, two hot tubs, a private lounge, an exclusive bar, and breath-taking sea views.

Norwegian Aqua ensures a variety of accommodations for all its guests. Solo travelers can enjoy NCL’s signature Studio staterooms with private key card access to a dedicated Studio Lounge. The ship also introduces expanded solo stateroom categories, including solo inside, solo ocean view, and solo balcony, offering more space and accommodation variety at reduced fares.

Families are in for a treat as NCL’s family-favourite Splash Academy for children ages 3 to 12 makes a return on Norwegian Aqua. Adolescents aged 13 to 17 can engage in age-appropriate activities at Entourage, NCL’s signature teen club, which now enjoys its dedicated space.

Following its debut in the Caribbean, Norwegian Aqua will set sail to Bermuda from New York City and embark on Eastern Caribbean itineraries from Miami, the ‘Cruise Capital of the World’.
