Art under the Sun

HURLINGHAM PARK HOSTS ‘ART UNDER THE SUN’ ON OCTOBER 3

Summer Sundays are the perfect time for a stroll in the park to view fine art, as the monthly ‘ART under the SUN’ collective exhibits some great local art for all different types of tastes.

  • ‘ART under the SUN’ has been hosting the largest open-air monthly exhibition of fine art in South Africa since 1960.
  • Over 90 member artists exhibit their own art in every style, medium, and subjects – portraits, landscapes, still lives, wildlife, and much more.
  • The monthly exhibition takes place in Hurlingham Park – entrance is free.
  • Visit www.sandtontimes.co.za for more stories.

It’s like an art gallery, but outside. ‘ART under the SUN’ brings together an impressive line-up of local artists, from traditional, contemporary, and expressionist to abstracts, wildlife, landscapes, still lives, and more. And if paintings are not quite your style, peruse a selection of sculptures and photography for your prospective collection.

With ample fresh air, ‘ART under the SUN’ provides good social distancing and ventilation, whilst appreciating great art and engaging with some talented artists directly.

ART under the SUN‘ takes place every first Sunday of the month at Hurlingham Park, corner William Nicol, and Stirling Avenue in Sandton.
