Catering to both local and foreign visitors, who may enjoy the subtropical weather, heritage, history or are down on the East Coast on business and a bit of pleasure, the hard-to-miss, Hilton Garden Inn Umhlanga Arch is comfortably situated between the well-known Umhlanga of old, near the beach, and Gateway Shopping Centre just over the ridge.

Parking and check-in run smoothly as the incredibly detailed signage leaves little guess work as to where to go, once in the building.

The technologically modern Hilton Garden Inn Umhlanga Arch features contactless check-in with Hilton’s Digital Key, allowing guests to book their desired room online through the Hilton Honors App, access the guest elevator, and unlock their room door using their smartphone. Alternatively, the reception area, boasting its own 24-hour convenience store for those unexpected snack-attacks, has a simple and easy check-in counter.

Having only opened 2-years ago, the hotel still has a fresh feel to the furnishings with contemporary rooms offering Crabtree & Evelyn amenities, a coffee & tea station, good WiFi, a laptop size safe, ample unpacking space, a workspace, satellite television, an open bathroom with shower, toilet and single counter basin with the essentials. A standout feature is the retro mini-bar, which is a nice touch!

All 203 bedrooms come with a private bathroom, including four one-bedroom suites, five rooms with access, 55 twin bedrooms, and 139 king beds. 112 of the 203 bedrooms can be connected, making them ideal for families. Other services include a free self-service laundry room.

The Hilton Garden Inn Umhlanga Arch offers a great nights rest with a sound buffet breakfast in the morning, served up at the on-site restaurant ‘Together and Co.’.
