As Sandton continues to trend in South Africa on social media, Sandton City and Nelson Mandela Square conducted an evacuation drill this morning.

Leaving nothing to chance, the Sandton City precinct conducted a drill, to ensure readiness for any eventuality.

Sandton City and Nelson Mandela Square prioritise the safety and security of shoppers, staff and tenants, and confirm that on Friday, 28 October 2022 at approximately 6:35am, a planned training simulation was conducted.

Sandton CPF members, security companies around Sandton and law enforcement bodies are on full alert and will monitor events and gatherings in Sandton throughout the weekend for any suspicious activities.

 

The Sandton CPF has urged the community to refrain from sharing unverified reports and creating unnecessary panic. Any suspicious activities or emergencies should be reported to 10111, a security company or to the area CPF structures.
