The refurbishment work, managed entirely in-house at Emirates’ Engineering Centre, involves over 250 project personnel working in collaboration with 31 major partners and suppliers. The project aims to refresh cabin interiors, introduce updated seating configurations, and enhance overall comfort and aesthetics across all classes. Once completed, the revamped fleet will feature next-generation Premium Economy seats, refreshed First Class suites, upgraded Business Class seats, and improved Economy Class cabins.
We’re topping up our multi-billion dollar investment in the retrofit program to introduce cutting-edge cabin products on more of our A380s and Boeing 777s,” he stated. “This demonstrates our clear commitment to ensuring that passengers enjoy a superior travel experience with Emirates.

Emirates has already made significant progress in its refurbishment efforts, having retrofitted 22 A380 aircraft to date. In July of this year, the first Boeing 777 will undergo an interior refresh, with each aircraft expected to take approximately two weeks to refurbish before re-entering service. Plans include the introduction of new Business Class seats in an updated 1-2-1 seating configuration, along with the addition of 24 Premium Economy seats on each aircraft.
In addition to the fleet refurbishment program, Emirates has also unveiled plans to introduce its latest A350 aircraft to nine new destinations by March 2025. The A350, known for its spacious cabin, advanced amenities, and fuel efficiency, will service short to medium-haul routes.
The A350 will be a game-changer for Emirates, enabling us to serve regional points with superior operating efficiency and flexibility. With the latest generation cabin products, including more of our sought-after Premium Economy seats, the Emirates A350 builds on our long-standing commitment to investing in the very best customer experience in the sky.
