The season kicks off in Johannesburg, where an eclectic group of hopefuls step up to the plate: HR Manager Dricus, Creative Consultant Lester, Author Anna, and Sports Coordinator Hilton. While each contestant dreams of hosting the ultimate soirée, reality often proves otherwise.
Hilton’s self-confessed limited palate makes him an instant target for friendly ribbing, while Lester arrives with fine-dining expectations that have his competitors feeling the pressure. Add to that a mix of ambitious dishes – from Peruvian ceviche to Korean BBQ – and even a controversial homemade ice cream debate, and you have all the ingredients for a spectacularly unpredictable start to the season.

As always, the inimitable Dave Lamb returns to lend his razor-sharp narration, serving up his signature wit and sarcasm as contestants attempt to impress – or, more often than not, horrify – their guests with their hosting skills.
Season 10 isn’t just another round of dinner parties – it’s an even grander spectacle, featuring unforgettable characters and jaw-dropping moments. Among the standout showdowns, viewers can expect a Beauty Queen and an Esoteric Mental Health Guru locking horns in Gauteng, proving that hosting skills aren’t the only thing being judged.
For the first time in the show’s history, Come Dine With Me South Africa is heading to Mbombela, where hosts are pulling out all the stops with themes like “Island Style” and “Around the World”. And if that’s not enough drama, a Real Housewife of Cape Town throws her hat into the ring, bringing a taste of luxury and a whole lot of personality to the competition.

Produced by Rapid Blue, the production company behind all ten seasons of the show, Come Dine With Me South Africa has cemented itself as a staple of South African reality TV. Adapted from the beloved international format – which celebrates its 20th Anniversary this year – the local edition has delivered a decade of unforgettable dinner party antics, from legendary characters like The Pink Lady in Season 7 to the bizarre culinary choices of Season 9 (yes, we’re looking at you, giraffe neck main course).
Reflecting on the show’s enduring appeal, Executive Producer Ryan Deacon shared his excitement for the milestone season.
Reaching 10 seasons is evidence of how much South Africans love this deliciously chaotic show. We’ve had unforgettable dinner parties, unexpected friendships, and a whole lot of hilarious disasters in the kitchen. Season 10 promises to be so much bigger, as we travel to Mbombela, Rustenburg, and Bloemfontein for the first time. We hope our viewers are prepared for the return of this iconic show.
