DJ Ravin, the worldwide resident DJ of the Buddha-Bar group, is set to compliment TANG’s chic all-day Sunday brunch series, starting June 27.

This once-a-month sensory experience features internationally celebrated DJ Ravin, the legend of the Buddha-Bar compilations. Ravin grew up in Mauritius and was raised according to traditional Hindu teachings. He later moved to France as a teenager and quickly focused on his long- time passions – music, mixing, playing, and producing, to create his own unique mark on the music world.
DJ Ravin’s fame rapidly grew through Paris’s nightlife, eventually leading him to play in celebrity haunts such as the Rex and Les Bains Douches. In 1997 he played his first sets at Buddha-Bar Paris, and contributed immensely to their distinct musical signature, before imprinting his unique fusion-style on several compilations released by George V Records.
Partnering with Moët & Chandon and Whispering Angel, TANG has crafted an option of two set menu packages for this journey of food, wine, champagne and the sexiest Asian beats.
The tantalising culinary and sensory experience looks to reflect TANG’S luxurious take on the Japanese Izakaya style of dining and classic Cantonese-inspired cooking with options including tuna tataki, comprising seared tuna served with onion ponzu, garlic chips, spring onion, and the in-house TANG ponzu sauce, and TANG’S inimitable take on Peking duck, the deliciously decadent dish which harks back to the Chinese Ming Dynasty.
The Asian luxury restaurant and bar created by hospitality entrepreneur Nicky van der Walt is set in one of Joburg’s most iconic addresses overlooking Nelson Mandela Square in Sandton.
