A Danish carpenter crafted a line of small wooden toys in his Billund, Denmark, workshop 90-years ago. His first collection had a modest 36 items that included cars, airplanes, and yoyos, all carefully crafted to help local children learn about the world. What Ole Kirk Kristiansen couldn’t have known back in 1932, was that the LEGO Group would become one of the biggest toy companies in the world and inspire millions of children to play each year.
The worlds most loved brick celebrates its 90th Anniversary and with that announced the release of its classic castle, dating back to the 1970’s. With the LEGO Black Knight’s Castle being an all-time classic, the newly released Lions Knights’ Castle takes its cue from this original release along with some new and unique designs.
The foldable Lions Knights’ Castle has all the elements that make a castle unbelievably engrossing from a mill with a waterwheel, a drawbridge, hidden passages, a dungeon trapdoor and more.
The set also includes a lady of the castle or Queen, equipped for battle along with knights, archers, wizard and forest people.
The LEGO Lions Knights’ Castle goes on sale in August, priced at R6’299.
