WineX – The Wine Festival, considered to be one of South Africa’s premier wine festivals, will take place in its traditional end-October slot at the Sandton Convention Centre.
- WineX 2022 takes place from October 26 – 28 in Sandton.
- The event celebrated its 20th Anniversary back in 2019, which was also the last in-person event, before the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Tickets are available via WebTickets, starting at R195 per person.
- Visit www.sandtontimes.co.za for more stories.
WineX, which attracts 8’000–10’000 wine enthusiasts from across greater Sandton every year, is the place to be if you want to discover new wines, catch the release of new vintages, and take in a seemingly endless variety of Cape wines.
In addition to the regular award-winning brands and boutique winery favourites, WineX is delighted to welcome newcomers Clarington, Haus, Icewine Africa, Le Chant, Onoma, Tempel, Tesselaarsdal and Yethu Wines. Wine lovers will also be treated to delicious samplings from Babylonstoren Pantry, Ghana Chocolatiers, Mari’s with Love and be able to buy Mastrantonio’s food-on-the-move deli offerings to sip wine by.

The news that WineX is back in Sandton brings with it the thrill of life before COVID-19: the buzz, the excitement, the glitz, that coming together of the best of the Cape wine industry with the hip and happening of Gauteng. Unsurprisingly the show is bigger and more layered than at its last iteration in 2019: more exhibitors, bigger stands, new releases – three years of in-person engagements to catch-up, three vintages between now and when we last met together to sample and enjoy.
