With just over 4-months to go to the annual major December break, the Holiday Expo returns to Montecasino this weekend, on August 24 to 25, and there could be no better time to start planning that much loved end-of-year vacation!

This will be the 3rd annual Holiday Expo, offering adventure seekers and holidaymakers a chance to get some of the best deals and exclusive specials when it comes to heading overseas. And for those with more time on their hands, it’s also a great opportunity to plan those quick mid-year breaks and long weekend getaways.

The Holiday Expo is an opportunity for visitors to see first-hand everything that there is to experience on the holiday front and to start looking forward to the warmer months with excitement. From down-town Johannesburg excursions to cruising the Caribbean, and everything in between – this is Gauteng’s most beautiful holiday event.

While South Africa is literally a world in one country – offering travelers ‘the world’ – the Holiday Expo is the ideal platform to engage and discover that next holiday destination and to help you plan ahead, here are South Africa’s Public Holidays left for the year:
– Tuesday, 24 September 2019: Heritage Day
– Monday, 16 December 2019: Day of Reconciliation
– Wednesday, 25 December 2019: Christmas Day
– Thursday, 26 December 2019: Day of Goodwill
– Wednesday, 1 January 2020: New Year’s Day

The WINNER of the two return Economy Class tickets to Mauritius on Air Mauritius is: Noluthando Ndaba!

This prize is almost too good to be true, given the comfortable and luxurious in-flight experience on Air Mauritius’s new generation A350-900 and A350-900Neo aircraft. Designed for comfort and luxury, these aircraft afford travelers some incredible comforts with that distinct island flavor. And as those familiar with Air Mauritius will know, the airline also offers an incredible last minute upgrade to Business Class – at a cost of just R3 300!

Air Mauritius won the Indian Ocean’s Leading Airlines 2019 and four other accolades at the 26th Annual World Travel Awards including:
– Indian Ocean’s Leading Airline – Business Class 2019
– Indian Ocean’s Leading Airline Brand 2019
– Indian Ocean’s Leading Airport Lounge 2019
– Indian Ocean’s Leading Cabin Crew 2019

The airline’s Travel Smart Program offers travellers a number of perks. Two children under 12 fly free and the whole family enjoyed complimentary Business Class Lounge access in South Africa. Plus, sports equipment flies free (perfect for golfers and cycling enthusiasts!).

Business travelers will be pleased to learn that Air Mauritius also has a free stopover in Mauritius, on non-connecting flights (in 4- or 5-star hotels). What’s more, the island’s location is such that flight times to the airline’s 22 different destinations, are shorter than those of Air Mauritius’s competitors – even on trips with indirect routing. Just this week, the airline announced that it appointed Jonathan Boynton-Lee as a Brand Ambassador.
