Building on the success of last year’s inaugural event, the celebration series is expanding to include three extraordinary voyages featuring special guests and some of Virgin’s most influential leaders. This event calls on fans of the Virgin brand and loyal Sailors to embark on a journey that encapsulates over 50 years of Virgin’s history.
Richard, known for his adventurous spirit and innovative approach to business, started Virgin back in 1970 as a mail-order record retailer. Virgin Records signed iconic acts like The Sex Pistols and The Rolling Stones, cementing its place in music history. Today, Richard oversees a diverse portfolio of over 40 Virgin companies worldwide, spanning industries from travel and telecommunications to space exploration.
Joining Richard is the legendary Boy George, whose contributions to music and timeless hits like Karma Chameleon have left an indelible mark on pop culture. Alongside them will be distinguished Virgin executives and a cohort of Virgin Galactic-flown astronauts, fresh from their voyages into space. This star-studded group promises to lend their celebrity and insights to create a truly memorable experience for all aboard.
Guests, better known as Sailors on Virgin cruises, will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of unique programs, including:

Not only are we excited to bring back this special series, but we’re making a splash, doing it bigger & better than in 2023 with not one, but three incredible voyages. Once a year, our Sailors have unprecedented access to immerse themselves in the magic of both Virgin Voyages and the Virgin brand. The three distinct ‘Virgin Celebration Voyage’ itineraries across the brand’s fleet of Lady Ships include:
- Valiant Lady – Dominican Daze (30 August 2024 – 4 September 2024): Departing from Miami, this voyage will take Sailors to Puerto Plata, the Beach Club at Bimini, and back to Miami. This tropical escape offers stunning beaches and vibrant local culture.
- Scarlet Lady – French Daze & Ibiza Nights (1 – 8 September 2024): Setting sail from Barcelona, this voyage includes stops in Marseille, Cannes, Palma de Mallorca, Ibiza, and returns to Barcelona. This Mediterranean adventure promises picturesque coastlines and lively nightlife.
- Resilient Lady – UK to Zeebrugge & Amsterdam (3 – 8 September 2024): Departing from Portsmouth, this journey will visit Amsterdam and Zeebrugge (Bruges) before returning to Portsmouth. This itinerary blends historical charm with modern vibrancy.
