Amazing Spaces offers a diverse portfolio of exclusive properties ranging from stunning designer homes to expansive farms, catering to both local and international film crews.
Julia’s journey began in the film industry as a freelance stills producer, where she saw a gap in the market for a dedicated location agency. Her love for real estate and keen eye for aesthetics, honed by her parents’ establishment of The Cellars Hohenort in 1983, helped her transform Amazing Spaces into a powerhouse. The company connects global filmmakers with premium South African locations.
Driven by integrity, fun, and a commitment to positive impact, Julia is known for her hands-on approach to property transformations. Her passion extends beyond marketing as she immerses herself in property development and renovation projects, turning unremarkable spaces into income-generating assets.
Looking ahead, Julia shares her excitement about the upcoming film season and advises homeowners on how to earn between R10’000 and R60’000 per day by renting their properties as film locations.
Explore the captivating world of film-making with an exclusive Behind The Scenes look at ‘One Piece’, Netflix’s latest sensation. This special glimpse unveils the artistry behind the production while highlighting Orion, a key location in Cape Town that helped shape the film’s vision. Demi-Leigh Tebow Unveils Powerful Debut Book – A Journey To True Purpose And Lasting Impact
Philanthropist, entrepreneur, and Miss Universe 2017, Demi-Leigh Tebow, celebrated the release of her debut book, A Crown That Lasts: You Are Not Your Label, this past week in Sandton. Joined by former Miss South Africa Melinda Bam at Exclusive Books Sandton City, Demi-Leigh engaged in a conversation about the book’s themes and her personal journey.
Now a USA Today Best-Seller, A Crown That Lasts explores the dangers of tying personal identity to accomplishments and the importance of discovering one’s true purpose. Demi-Leigh candidly reflects on her own struggles with self-worth, how she overcame societal labels, and how she found the security of rooting her identity in her faith. The book’s message resonates with Demi-Leigh’s experiences, including her evolving confidence as she transitioned from temporary achievements to a life anchored in a deeper calling.
The book illustrates Demi-Leigh’s journey to finding “God-confidence” and encourages readers to focus on leaving a lasting legacy, rather than merely chasing personal success. Demi-Leigh, who also survived an attempted carjacking, is known for her #UnbreakableCampaign, which empowers women to navigate dangerous situations. Through her philanthropic work with the Tim Tebow Foundation, she raises awareness for human trafficking and supports children with profound medical needs, continuing to use her platform to inspire, educate, and serve communities globally.

Crowdfunding Effort To Support Veteran Broadcaster Tom London
About two to three weeks ago, media personality Tom London was rushed to the hospital after what started as a chest cold developed into pneumonia, leading to complications with his lungs. He was admitted to Helen Joseph Hospital in Johannesburg, where his experience quickly became a public concern.
During his stay, Tom documented the substandard treatment and distressing conditions at the hospital through a series of Facebook Live videos, which went viral across South Africa. His posts sparked outrage, drawing attention to the neglect that many face in public hospitals. The story gained traction, being featured on major media outlets like Kaya FM, ENCA, Newzroom Afrika, Radio 702, and Cape Talk, prompting a larger conversation about the state of healthcare in South Africa.
Tom eventually checked himself out of Helen Joseph Hospital and transferred to a private facility in Sandton. However, he now faces a life-saving operation with costs far beyond his means. To avoid returning to the very hospital system that failed him, Tom’s friends turned to BackaBuddy, a South African crowdfunding platform, to raise the money needed for the procedure.
The campaign has been met with widespread support from the public, who have rallied around Tom in his time of need. The BackaBuddy campaign has surpassed its goal, raising over R300’000 thanks to contributions from more than 470 donors. Generous support from companies and individuals like Atomic Oil, Carolyn Steyn, Suzuki Kyalami, and Suzuki Rivonia played a key role in ensuring Tom receives the medical care he needs. This effort not only helps Tom but also shines a spotlight on the broader challenges facing the healthcare system.
