Welcome to Venice, the enchanting city known for its picturesque canals, exquisite cuisine, and rich cultural heritage. From the iconic Tiramisu to the refreshing Aperol Spritz, every moment spent here is a taste of la dolce vita. As you arrive at Venice Airport Marco Polo (VCE), the gateway to this water-filled paradise, prepare yourself for an adventure that begins the moment you step outside.

A private taxi ride, costing around 150 euros, whisks you away from the airport to the Hilton Molino Stucky Venice – an experience that doubles as a scenic introduction to the city. Just follow the signs to the boat terminal, and soon you’ll find yourself on a wooden speedboat that feels like something straight out of a James Bond film or a glamorous Dolce & Gabbana advertisement.

Nestled on the tranquil banks of Giudecca Island, this former flour mill has undergone a stunning transformation into a unique hotel. It’s not only an emblem of Italy’s industrial architecture but also a testament to the rich tapestry of Venice, where merchants and business people once walked the halls.

As you stroll through the hotel, you can’t help but feel the weight of its history. The original industrial features are preserved and celebrated, providing a fascinating glimpse into the building’s past as an operational mill. The architectural elements blend seamlessly with the modern hotel experience, creating an atmosphere that is both welcoming and sophisticated.

As the sun sets, the Skyline Rooftop Bar transforms into the perfect venue for a pre-dinner cocktail. Sip on the Crystal Martini—a cocktail inspired by Venice’s fruit markets—while soaking in the stunning panoramas of the city.

At Aromi Restaurant, fine dining meets Italian flair. Recognized as the European Luxury Hotel Restaurant of the Year in 2022 and boasting numerous awards, Aromi offers signature dishes prepared with the highest quality ingredients. Each meal is complemented by prestigious wines, meticulously selected by the Maître. The large terrace, with mesmerizing views of Venice, makes dining here a memorable experience.

Our culinary journey began with antipasti of yellowfin tuna fillet marinated with “Milano-Torino” cocktail sauce, paired with pan brioche and Toban Dian mayonnaise. It was a light and refreshing start, perfectly balancing flavours. For a heartier option, the pan-fried Rougié foie gras with chickpea and miso cream proved to be a decadent choice, though perhaps not for everyone’s palate.

The highlight of the evening was the roasted lamb loin, served with a pavé of celery root and truffle, accompanied by sautéed okra—delicious and satisfying. And no meal in Italy is complete without dessert. We savoured the tiramisu by Chef Ivan Fargnoli, which was a perfect conclusion to a memorable meal.

One of the hotel’s standout features is its rooftop swimming pool, which offers a refreshing escape during the summer months. The bar and spa add further luxury to the experience, allowing guests to unwind in style after a day of exploring the enchanting city.
