Formula 1 Adds Las Vegas Grand Prix To 2023 Calendar

Formula 1 (F1) is heading to Vegas in 2023 for the Las Vegas Grand Prix which will be joining the FIA Formula One World Championship.

 

  • With more than 150,000 hotel rooms, Vegas is sure to add additional glitz, glamour, and g-forces.
  • There are very few cities in the world that can offer visitors F1 alongside residency artists like Lady Gaga, BTS, Katy Perry, Sting, Shania Twain, and more.
  • Vegas expects around 170’000 F1 fans to descend on the famous Strip for one of only 5 street races for the 2023 season.

The race will take place at night, on a Saturday in November, on the famous Las Vegas Strip for the Las Vegas Grand Prix with the track sweeping past some of the world’s most legendary landmarks, hotels, and casinos. The incredible neon lights of Las Vegas will be the backdrop for Formula 1’s third race in the United States (US) and highlights the huge enthusiasm and excitement in the US for Formula 1 as the sport continues to grow its global fan base.

This is an incredible moment for Formula 1 that demonstrates the huge appeal and growth of our sport with a third race in the US. Las Vegas is a destination known around the world for its excitement, hospitality, thrills, and of course, the famous Strip. There is no better place for Formula 1 to race than in the global entertainment capital of the world and we cannot wait to be here next year.

There will be 50 race laps with three main straights and 14 corners, including a high-speed cornering sequence and a single chicane section.
